Early Years @ Phoenix Park operates a waiting list system for placement in our Long Day Care and Sessional Kindergarten programs. Families may be eligible for Child Care Subsidy to help with the cost of fees. For more information on child care subsidy please speak to our Service Managers, or contact the Department of Human Services on 13 61 50.

Applications for Long Day Care places can be made prior to the birth of your child. Long day care is available from 7am – 6pm for children aged 12 weeks to 6 years. Children are cared for in one of six playrooms based on their age.

Applications for 3 Year Old and 4 Year Old Sessional Kindergarten places can be made prior to the birth of your child. First round offers are posted out around July of the year prior to your child commencing kindergarten. Session times vary for each group and may change from year to year.

Your child must be turning three by the end of April in the year they attend 3 Year Old Kindergarten and similarly, your child must be turning four by the end of April in the year they attend 4 Year Old Kindergarten.

If your child has their birthday between the start of kinder and the end of April they can attend kinder session’s pre birthday.

Early Years @ Phoenix Park offers places in accordance with the government priority of access and gives preference to families already within our centre and then past families.

Please be aware that Stonnington Council does not provide a centralised service for Long Day Care or Kindergarten enrolments. To increase your chances of being offered a place, you may wish to consider approaching a number of centres in your area.
